SQL Server Management Studio 17
As many of you have probably already noticed, Microsoft has decided to exclude SQL Server Management Studio from the SQL Server installation media as of SQL 2016. For better or worse it may seem, but personally I think it's a wonderful idea, as we will get new features and fixes faster.
Microsoft har redan släppt tre versioner sedan den blev en egen produkt. Senaste versionen som är släppt är 17.2 (<a href=”https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/ssms/download-sql-server-management-studio-ssms”>https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/ssms/download-sql-server-management-studio-ssms</a>) och den innehåller en del nyheter såsom:
- Performance dashboard is now built into SSMS, i.e. it is available directly against all instances, working from SQL 2008 onwards. It is available under "Reports" at instance level.
- Search in execution plans, useful if you have large plans that are difficult to oversee.
